Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Movofo Software for using MovoCompose. Plain language first, legal effect second.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, installing or using MovoCompose, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Where these terms say "we", they mean Movofo Software.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age for using an app with an account in your country, whichever is higher. You must be able to form a binding agreement where you live. If you use MovoCompose on behalf of an organization, you confirm you can bind that organization.

3. Licence to use

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use MovoCompose on devices you control, for your own creative and business purposes, subject to these terms.

You may not:

• copy, modify, redistribute or sell the app or any part of it;
• reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source code, except where local law gives you that right regardless of this clause;
• remove or obscure branding, notices or proprietary markings;
• circumvent entitlement checks, rate limits or subscription validation;
• use the app to build a competing service or to resell access to it.

4. Bring your own key — your responsibility

• You are responsible for keeping your keys confidential. They are stored in your device's secure storage; if you enable encrypted backup, only ciphertext leaves the device.
• You are responsible for all activity carried out with your keys, including charges your provider invoices.
• You confirm you are entitled to use each key and that your use complies with that provider's acceptable-use policy.
• Rotate and remove a key immediately if you suspect it has been exposed.

5. Subscription, trial and billing

MovoCompose charges a monthly platform fee. You pay for the platform — not for marked-up AI usage, which you arrange directly with your providers.

• Free trial. New accounts may start a time-limited trial. There is no permanent free tier.
• Tiers. Paid tiers differ in the platform capacity and capabilities available at each level. The in-app subscription screen shows your current plan, status and renewal date.
• Store billing. Purchases, renewals and cancellations are handled by the App Store or Google Play under their terms. We do not process card payments and cannot issue store refunds directly — request those through the store.
• Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled before renewal in your store account. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period.
• Price changes. We will give notice of a price change before it applies to an existing subscription.
• Future usage packages. We may later offer optional first-party AI usage credits. BYOK stays central; those packages are an alternative, never a replacement, and will carry their own terms.

6. You own what you create

You grant us only the narrow permission needed to operate the service: to store and transmit the account and library metadata described in the Privacy Policy, and to process the data you submit when a feature requires it. You are responsible for having the rights to any input you feed the app — reference images, audio recordings, clips and text included.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use MovoCompose to:

• create content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or that incites violence or hatred;
• produce sexual content involving real people without consent, or any content sexualising minors — this results in immediate termination and, where required, a report to the relevant authorities;
• generate non-consensual intimate imagery of any person;
• deceive: impersonate a real person, forge an identity, or pass off AI output as a genuine recording of a real event where that would mislead;
• infringe intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights;
• attack, probe, overload or disrupt the service, or attempt unauthorised access to it or to other users' accounts;
• circumvent content protections of a third-party service, including YouTube transcript retrieval, beyond what that service permits.

You are responsible for how you label and disclose AI-generated content where law or platform rules require it — including the rules of the social networks you publish to.

8. Third-party AI providers

MovoCompose ships with a curated list of providers. At launch the active adapters are OpenRouter and fal.ai; Alibaba Cloud Model Studio, Qwen Cloud, MiniMax and BytePlus are catalogued as planned. Each provider is an independent company. We are not their agent, we do not set their prices, and their terms govern your use of their API. When a provider changes, deprecates a model or fails, generation through that provider is affected and that is outside our control.

9. Disclaimers

MovoCompose is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Without limiting that:

• AI output is not guaranteed. Generative models are probabilistic. Results may be wrong, biased, low quality, unusable or not what your prompt described. You must review output before relying on or publishing it.
• We do not warrant that generation will succeed, that a provider will be available, or that results will be reproducible.
• We do not warrant that the app is free of defects, or that your device storage will be unaffected by your own use of it.
• Because media lives on your device, backups are your responsibility. Device loss, failure or an OS reset can destroy creations we hold no copy of.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither Movofo Software nor its contributors are liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost goodwill, or charges incurred with your AI providers, arising from your use of MovoCompose.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these terms or the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars (USD 100).

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights where they cannot be excluded.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using MovoCompose and delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if the service is discontinued, and we will tell you why where it is practicable to do so. Sections that by their nature should survive — ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law — survive termination.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app and this page's date updated before they take effect. Continued use after that date is acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing law

Placeholder. The governing law and venue for disputes will be specified here once Movofo Software's jurisdiction of registration is fixed for launch. Until then, nothing in this section waives any mandatory consumer protection available to you where you live.
